Ancient Stories held in Crackled Glass

Founded by Hanne De Wyngaert, Que Onda Vos brings together contemporary design and ancient Mayan craftsmanship, creating objects that carry the memory of hands, earth, and fire. Each piece is born from a dialogue between tradition and material, shaped by skilled artisans in Guatemala using techniques passed down through generations.

The glassware, made entirely from recycled glass, embodies both fragility and resilience. Every cup, vase, and vessel is unique, its subtle irregularities and textures revealing the intimate process of hand-blowing. These objects transform light and space, capturing the quiet poetry of breath, movement and time.

Alongside glass, Que Onda Vos also works with textiles, where hand-spun fibers and natural dyes echo the same care and precision. Woven rugs and blankets bear the traces of skilled hands, grounding contemporary interiors in a sense of history, culture, and tactility.

Together, the glassware and textiles form a dialogue of material, technique and presence. Each creation holds the spirit of its makers, honoring the traditions of Mayan craft while finding a place within modern spaces, where heritage and design meet with quiet elegance.

Our guests and visitors can now discover the glasswork of Que Onda Vos at Cá na serra as part of the exhibition Poetics of Material and Space, curated by Sanae Collective. ‍

Poetics of Material and space runs until September 2026 and can be visited by appointment or by staying at Cá na Serra. The exhibition will exceptionally open to the public on 23rd May 2026, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the dialogue between maker, material and space.
