Luc and Michaël were looking to find a holiday home to share with friends and family, a quest that brought them to Portugal.
Enchanted by the rugged hills of the Serra de Melides and the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, they embarked on a journey to create a retreat that pays tribute to it’s natural surroundings.

Driven by their joined passion for travel, they explored Alentejo region. At Carapetal they found a slower pace of living, where Michaël was drawn by the natural beauty of the place, and where Luc recognized the understated allure of Melides as a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Together with architect Luís Perreira Miguel from Lisbon, and Belgian interior designer Cathérine Hanssens, they brought Cá na Serra to life.
